My grandpa is 97 years old. And still a sharp sharp man. Why has he been preserved in this way? What is sustaining him?
A couple of years ago, I finally clued into the fact that he won’t be with us much longer… and that there are some things that really need to be done. What, though? I asked. His legacy. For the last 1.5 years, I have made efforts to connect and discover the precious man my grandpa is. It has been my pleasure coming to know him more fully and learning his story. His life is a blessing to my family. I have finally caught the bug of family history. I used to only care about my own photos and history but now I feel like my things are currently of less importance. Grandpa’s life has the power to serve all his posterity now more than any other family member. And through our efforts together, his legacy has begun. Because I have this bug, I yearn to share it. How can I reach others and call out the goodness of family history work on the rooftops…with my abilities and talents? As of today, I am conjoining my Just a Pitch efforts with this great cause. I must give them my heart at this time, until I have filled this capacity. I must take serving others in this way seriously. I will be building a library of resources, pitches you might call them, for the researchers that so need them. Keep your eyes peeled as I hope to discover and share the BEST resources. May God bless and heal us in our efforts. Stefan
